Carl Edwards finished seventh and was the highest-finishing Ford driver in Saturday night's Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Greg Biffle was next in 13th.
Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 Meguiar's Ford Fusion, hit the wall in practice to get a patented Darlington stripe, but his crew repaired the damage and helped him be the fastest Ford in qualifying for Saturday night's scheduled Southern 500 with a ninth-place run.
